Community

Our work in the community

At train to TEFL, we not only train people to become great teachers, but we also teach English to speakers of other languages.  Based in Greater Manchester in the UK, we work with local community organisations, councils, and charities to deliver top quality free ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) provision.

We aim to empower our learners by helping them develop their English language skills. Classes are free to anyone in need of language support including workers, people seeking refuge or asylum, working parents, BNO’s and members of settled communities.

Train-to-TEFL English classes are accessible to everyone. They are delivered in face-to-face community settings and online in the mornings, afternoons, evenings and at weekends. This gives our learners the flexibility to work or look after children and still learn English, helping them build happy, fulfilling, and productive lives in the UK.

Volunteering and Work Experience

One of the best ways to build confidence and continue developing the teaching skills you gained during your Trinity CertTESOL course is to get back into the classroom as soon as possible. Doing so not only helps you maintain momentum, but also gives you the valuable post-certificate teaching experience that employers look for.

At Train to TEFL, we offer our CertTESOL graduates ongoing support and mentoring, with plenty of opportunities to gain real classroom experience, both face-to-face and online. You will benefit from continued training, peer support, and the chance to observe experienced teachers, while building on your skills through our structured mentoring scheme.

If you complete your Trinity CertTESOL with Train to TEFL, you will have access to this exclusive support network and practical teaching experience, helping you take your first steps with confidence.

Training and consulting

With the unprecedented rise in trans-national mobility, schools and colleges across the UK are seeing changes to the student demographicesol-in-action-image which impact on the cultural and communicative norms both inside and outside of the classroom. To respond to these changes and the challenges they bring, teachers are increasingly required to support pupils who have English as an Additional Language.

To help your talent to develop and maintain the language and teaching skills needed in an increasingly globalised sector, Train-to-TEFL delivers tailor-made ESOL and Teacher Training related workshops in schools, FE colleges and community/charity-based organisations to cater for INSET, Continuing Professional Development and volunteer training initiatives.

If you think we can help, contact us at learnmore@traintotefl.com to discuss how we can help your organisation improve teaching provision for children, young people and parents with English language needs.
